Gaëlle Lissorgues, appointed Deputy General Director of ESIEE Paris

With her academic and professional experience, she brings recognised expertise in the fields of applied physics and microtechnologies.

ESIEE Paris is pleased to announce the appointment of Gaëlle Lissorgues
as Deputy General Director of the school. 

A teacher-researcher at ESIEE Paris, Associate Professor and member of the ESYCOM laboratory since 1997, Gaëlle Lissorgues has played a key role in the creation and development of the Health, Energy and Environment department since 2012. A co-inventor of patents, she has led innovative projects in the fields of sensors and implantable medical devices. Since 2019, she has been the head of the Mathematics and ICST doctoral school at l’Université Paris-Est.

  • She obtained her Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) in 2006 at l’Université Paris Est, consolidating her position as a teacher-researcher.

  • In addition to her academic achievements, Gaëlle Lissorgues has been involved in a number of EU and nationally-funded projects for integrated smart microsensors. 

  • She has supervised more than 20 doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers.

She has also played a key role in the development of new materials for sensors, including flexible polymers, piezoelectric thin films and diamond-based materials.

In her new role, Gaëlle Lissorgues will have major management and supervisory responsibilities in support of Jean Mairesse, Managing Director of ESIEE Paris.

 


Gaëlle Lissorgues will begin her role 1 March 2024.
