Université Gustave Eiffel one of CWUR'S top universities in the world
On 15 May 2023, the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) published its ranking of the 2,000 best higher education institutions in the world.
Gustave Eiffel University in the top 3% of universities worldwide
The Université Gustave Eiffel, which ESIEE Paris is a founding member of, rose to 597th place, after coming 660th in this international ranking in 2022. They are therefore among the top 3% of universities in the world in this international ranking.
It is also progressing among French institutions, passing from 28th in 2022 to 29th in 2023.
Another ‘great success’ for the University after its entry into the famous Shanghai Rankings in 2020.
The Université Gustave Eiffel is the first French university to combine a university (UPEM), a research centre (IFSTTAR), an architecture school (EAV&T), and three engineering schools (EIVP, ENSG and ESIEE Paris).
This result reflects this new university’s ambition:

This ranking is based on a number of indicators grouped into four areas:
education, based on the academic success of students
employability, based on the professional success of former students
faculty, measured by the number of prestigious academic awards
research performance, with major criteria such as research results, quality of publications, number of citations and measurement of influence
